It's hard to believe that it was 5 years ago that Pure Phunk began its mission to raise the standards of breaks parties in Toronto.

In our 5-year run we've introduced the city to a wide range of International talent as well as building up our own high quality locals. We've even set attendance records for all-breaks events that are still standing to this date!

For this event, we return once again to the building where it all started and kick it OLD SCHOOL. For this party we're going all out with cool visuals and decor to help enhance the patented Pure Phunk party vibe! Don't miss out!

Hailed by many as the Breaks Party of the Year in 2003, The Pure Phunk 3 Year was certainly one for the history books. The venue was full at 11:30, and rocking hard until the wee hours of the morning. For this event, the BIG man of breaks, Scissorkicks, made his return to Toronto and tore the roof off of Klinik Nightclub!

For this short lived weekly, Pure Phunk teamed up with Hamilton Heavyweight promoter 905ive Productions to throw this weekly Saturday night inside 'F@ Nightclub' in Hamilton.

We rocked the lounge every Saturday night and featured such guests as Dave Saddler, Robb G, Simon Paul, Myagi, and more alongside residents D-Monic and FunkNstyle.

Sadly, the club changed ownership after only 2 months in and we were forced out along with the old management.

On opening night the club 'Lovesexxy' was raided by the LCBO for not having a proper liquor license. It would appear that the club had previously lost their license and had acquired a special event license to try and get around it, all of which was unknown to us. The Liquor Board figured out what was going on and in true LCBO fashion they shut down the night right as it started to get going.

It's unfortunate. This night looked to be THE breaks night in Toronto
